Maanasbal (Room No. 11) Detail

Maanasbal Lake is a lake located in Safapora area of Ganderbal District on the outskirts of Srinagar. The name Manasbal is said to be a derivative of the Lake Manasarovar. Lake is encircled by three villages viz., Jarokbal, Kondabal and Ganderbal. It is stated to be the deepest lake (at a depth of 13 m or 43 ft) in India. The large growth of lotus at the periphery of the lake (blooms during July and August) adds to the beauty of the clear waters of the lake. The Mughal garden, called the Garoka, built by Nur Jahan overlooks the lake.

Maanasbal is in the middle of the 3 rooms facing the garden. It is a cozy deluxe, double bed room on the ground floor located on the north wing of the property. This room enjoys a private verandah over looking the garden. Maanasbal is a large room with the dimensions of 14.5 by 12 feet , with a dressing area of 7 by 4 feet next to the bathroom (8 by 9 feet).
